The news: Manchester Town Hall will open its doors for corporate events and weddings from January 2028, following completion of its major restoration project. The building has been closed since 2018 and will reopen to the public in spring 2027. Event bookings are scheduled to begin once a new events management team is in place.
Why it matters for MICE operators: This reopening creates a landmark venue option in a major UK conference destination. For Indian DMCs managing international delegations and incentive trips to the UK, Town Hall adds prestige and heritage appeal—ideal for gala dinners, awards ceremonies, and high-profile conferences. The historic setting differentiates proposals to clients seeking distinctive European venues. UK-focused PCOs should monitor this opening closely and begin relationship-building with the new events team early to secure premium dates for 2028-2029 events.
The takeaway: Add Manchester Town Hall to your UK venue database now and reach out to their events team in Q4 2027 when booking windows officially open.
